Every one in the world remembers 9/11. It was the day the whole earth stopped as we saw the magnificent twin towers crumbling into pieces. It shook every nation. It was also the day the world started to point fingers...at religion.
There is no one religion that is scientifically or spiritually greater than the other. They are all equally as great as they are. Every religion has its own customs, culture and holy symbolic items - like the Christians and their Bible, the Sikhs and their Kitab, the Jews and their Torah, the Muslims and their Quran.
Malaysia is an Islamic country. We have Moral studies for the non-Muslims and Islamic studies for the Muslims. I have seen a Quran firsthand when I was in school. I respected it as the holy book of Islam even though I am not a Muslim myself.
The news today at BBC- US church defiant despite condemnation of Koran burning ( http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-11223457) is one shameful act. For it to happen in a church and supported by a pastor is even disgraceful.
This could be a start of a very vicious cycle of holy books burning.
